Comexi Group improves energy efficiency in its slitting and rewinding line - Comexi Proslit (n102/2012)

Girona, October 9th, 2012.‐ Comexi Group, a specialist in the manufacture of machinery for the flexible packaging converting industry, has started the construction of Proslit machines, focusing on slitting and rewinding area, more efficient and sustanaible.
According to the company goals to make their processes and products more efficient and sustainable, the R&D team of product line Proslit has worked on investigating what improvements could be incorporated into the machines line to improve efficiency without reducing performance and results.
As a result of this research process, Proslit has began the construction of machines with new features such as new engines with high efficiency category, air inlet valves, brakes or pressure regulators, among others, will get between 10 and a 15% improvement in efficiency and power consumption.

Comexi Group holds in Bogota a technical seminar on flexible packaging innovations (n101/2012)

Girona, September 26th, 2012.- Comexi Group, a specialist in the manufacture of machinery for the flexible packaging converting industry, and Novaflex, the enterprise that represents it in Colombia, will hold in Bogotá a flexible packaging innovations’ technical seminar on October 24th and 25th.
The seminar is addressed to the flexible packaging sector and it will be focused on the changes experienced by the industry in the past years.
Efficiency and application control are the main topics on the seminar since they are basic for the flexible packaging companies’ proper functioning. Though, technical issues such as color management, adhesives and lamination trends will also be dealt with during the seminar.

Polytwist purchases the slitter Compack 2 (n100/2012)

Girona. September 19, 2012.- Polytwist, the Mexican converter company for flexible packaging, has purchased its second Comexi Group’s Proslit Compack 2 slitter. This is the 100 slitter sold since the product’s successful launching in 2006. The Compack 2 has been purchased by customers all over the world, from more than 30 different countries. Proslit Compack 2 meant a revolution in its fields since it is a completely electric machine and it is also the first one of this kind that uses ALTS technology, Advanced Linear Tracking System.

Comexi Group installs its new printer COMEXI OFFSET CI8 in the Catalan company Inplacsa
• Its technology is the key for the flexible packaging industry since it means both quality improvement and environmental
• The agreement among these two companies from Girona is the result of the success achieved at the Drupa’s fair
Girona. August 1st 2012.-Comexi Group, leading company in the manufacture of machinery for the flexible packaging, installs its first COMEXI OFFSET CI8 printer at Inplacsa, a Catalan company specialist in plastic films flexographic printing. After a four years investigation, Comexi Group has managed to adapt the offset technology benefits to the flexible packaging industry. This achievement means an important step forward in printing but also in laminating, cutting and drying, in addition to the improvements it brings to the environment.
The companies’ agreement launches the COMEXI OFFSET CI8 printer after the interest shown at Drupa’s Fair 2012 on the new product. The signing of the agreement entails the installation of the first machine with these features.
For the environment
The new Comexi Group’s printer reinforces the company’s compromise with the environment since it uses EB ink. This new cured ink eliminates the solvents and it’s more sustainable and eficient than the current technologies. This innovation means an important step forward for the flexible packaging industry and Inplacsa will be the first company to use it from September in its Cassà de la Selva headquarters.
Flexible packaging protects and keeps products and it’s an important industry in our society.
